About Me

Take a look at my life

Hello Everybody!

I was born in the middle of the '63s in Bremen in Northern Germany, and that's where I live until now. And I like it further, Bremen is not too big and not too little, and has a nice atmosphere I think.
What can I say about me, I'm a talker and listener, know everything and nothing, self confident and even uncertain, total married, proud father, kind and annoying, and so on...
I'm working as a sozial worker and gestalt therapist in the administration of a company, that acts in children and family help, where I advise / give internal supervision for the colleagues of our company. Before that I worked long time as a drug dependency therapist with drug abusers.
I have a few hobbies (my family, motorbiking, biking, traveling, diving, reading), but two hobbies were part of me for a long time and will go further:
Photography:
I started with taking pictures in the age of 16, inspired by some friends of mine. First taking black and white and slides, develop b/w in an improvised room at home, i
n 2004 I started with digital photography. But all that I act not in a fanatic way, so everything repeated laying down and waiting for the next level.
I use a lot of stuff from many companys in all that years (Nikon, Canon, Minolta, Ricoh...), and everytime I love the stuff I actually use the most - now I'm with Sony, because they early begin to build relativly little and lightweight cameras and lenses in a time, in which all my stuff lay down because it was too heavy.

But it's not the camera that makes the photo, it is the photographer anyway!
Music:
In the age of 12 I started playing guitar, a few years later I begann to sing (my mother was not amused about that :-), everything in case of music I teach myself, so my Progress was and is quite slow. But for me that don't matter, I make music for myself, not to get famous and on stage.

Now I play guitar (also keyboard, drums, bass, but in a quite ragged way) sing, compose and write my own songs (long years I wrote in english, now I started to write in german), and built a little homestudio, where I can produce my work.
And all in all I really like to live and try to enjoy it (the world's progress not make that easy sometimes) and the older I become the more successful it seems to be :-)

Greetings from Bremen, Germany

Andreas Schäfer
